BHU PMT Exam Pattern 2014 for Admissions to MBBS Course- Details of Eligibility and Paper Pattern

The Banaras Hindu University conducts the common entrance test for the admission of candidates in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course and other medical courses every year in the months of February/ March respectively. The candidates applying in the concerned courses of the university must qualify in the entrance exams as held for this purpose. BHU PMT Entrance Exam 2014 Details:

There will be two exams for all the eligible applicants namely:

1. Pre Medical Test/ Screening Exam and

2. Pre Medical Test/ Mains Exam

The candidates seeking admissions in the MBBS course of the university will have to appear in both the examinations whereas candidates who wish to get admissions in any of the following courses: BDS/ B.Pharma/ BAMS/ BUMS should appear in only the Pre Medical Mains Exam.

Exam Pattern:

For Pre Medical Screening Exam:

There will be objective type multiple choice questions on the following main topics:

Section I: Physics

Section II: Chemistry and

Section III: Biology

Total Number of Questions: 200

50 Questions from each section will be evaluated

Total Marks Allotted: 100

Marking Scheme:

The candidates will be given two marks for each correct question attempted by them whereas there will be deduction of 1 mark for each incorrect question attempted by them.

For Pre Medical Mains Examination:

There will be an objective type paper having questions on the following main subjects namely:

Physics

Chemistry

Botany and

Zoology

There will be two sections in the paper.

Section A:

Total Number of Questions: 200

25 Questions from each of the subjects as stated above

Section B:

Total Number of Questions: 100

25 Questions from each of the four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology respectively

Marking Scheme:

The candidates will be given two marks for each correct attempt made by them while there will be deduction of 1 mark for each incorrect attempt made by the candidates.

Total Marks Allotted: 400
